Getting To Know... Tinpan Orange

Melbourne's Tinpan Orange begin an Australian tour this weekend, before venturing to Europe to support The Cat Empire. Vocalist Emily Lubitz talks to BobbySix.com about her band:
I would describe Tinpan Orange's sound as folk with many deviations. Intense and subtle.

Touring is good people, bad food, waiting, puns and mostly fun.

It might surprise people to learn that I once traded my ukulele for socks.

Melbourne is apparently the centre of the universe. NASA built a computer to find the centre of the universe and guess where it is!?

I wish Tinpan Orange had written The Sound of Music. No, actually anything by Bach or Dolly Parton.

As a band, we aspire to write and play good honest tunes and not break the law.
