The fun and games kick off today in Brighton as the annual madness that is The Great Escape Festival gets under way. With acts like Yuck, Cloud Control, Miami Horror, Warpaint, Friendly Fires, The Wave Pictures and Sufjan Stevens gracing the bill, it is sure to be an exciting three days.
Last night, the town warmed up with the official pre-party at the city's newest venue, Haunt, just off the seafront. Revellers were entertained by three Brighton bands: the country rock of Holy Vessels, Rizzle Kicks' commercial hip-hop with touches of ska and rock and the serious electro of the immaculately suited and booted Mirrors. We went along and took a few snaps of the action.
