Bye Bye Bangkok

Yesterday saw the end of BobbySix.com's jaunt to Bangkok with the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project and I was sad to leave the city which had drawn me in with open arms. The thing that impressed me most about Bangkok was that, while the live music scene may not be as buzzing as I had expected, the level of creativity and get-up-and-go about the young people there was incredible. Unlike in Sydney (for example), the hipsters in Bangkok don't walk around acting as if their shit doesn't stink - like many Surry Hills rats do with absolutely no justification - but rather manage to be super cool sans the attitude, while, at the same time running their own businesses, making music, art and generally offering something exciting and tangible to the world. The positivity and 'can do' attitude about the place was truly inspiring and should act as a lesson to the hipsters from other cities that talk the talk without walking the walk.

Now it's time to see what Mumbai offers, so keep an eye out for posts from there. For now though, here are some snaps from Bangkok.
