Stonefield - Magic Carpet Ride


A little while ago, we introduced you to impossibly cool Australian sisters Stonefield. Well, excitingly for those of you who are in the UK, the 70's inspired psych rockers are preparing for a big trip to the Glastonbury Festival. So, if you are heading to the world's most famous music event later this month, be sure to watch the teenage siblings on the John Peel stage - they might just turn out to be your new favourite band.

In the meantime, why not check out this pretty awesome live performance on renowned Aussie radio station, Triple J. As part of a regular feature called Like A Version, in which bands perform covers, they offered their take on Magic Carpet Ride. It was originally released in the 60s by Steppenwolf and you've probably heard it on the Reservoir Dogs soundtrack. Give it a look and listen below (fast forward the clip to 55 seconds to avoid the inane DJ chatter at the beginning):
