Great White Caps - Sting Of Death

So this tickled our fancy today (it's Bobby's birthday and we fancied bopping around the office to something fun). Sure, so the video looks like a school project where the kid with the camera has just discovered the effects button, and the members of Great White Caps are hardly the coolest cats you'll ever see, but they make up for that with two minutes of blistering SURF ROCK! We love SURF ROCK so much at Bobbysix.com that we only ever write it using capital letters. Capital letter love.

Yeah, so SURF ROCK has resurfaced (ha! surf - aced) once more, just like it does every decade or so since the 1960’s, but that's fine by us, especially when it's instrumental lunacy played by four guys from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. And, yeah, they've got stupid names too: Montag the Magnificent (Guitar, Vocals), Johnny Utah (Drums), Sylvester Seaweed (Bass) and Warchild (Guitar) joined forces in 2009 to form Great White Caps. There is every chance the two minutes it takes to watch the above video are the only two minutes of your entire life that the band occupies. But it'll be a fun two minutes, and there is something rather lovely about that.
